You’ll love to discover it all, wrapped up in a “walkable” little treasure to be fully enjoyed at your own pace…

Itinerary

About an hour’s drive out of Marbella in your private chauffeured car, is the charming town of Ronda. With a strategic location, perched atop the Tajo Gorge, the origins of this city go as far back as the Celts and Phoenicians, and it has played an important role for Romans, Arabs and Christians alike, reaching contemporary times with a wonderful blend of its incredible past with the present. As a foodie, you’ll be happy to learn that Ronda is not just privileged for its history, but also its fertile lands, producing excellent wines, delicious game meats and premium fruits and vegetables of all kinds.

Begin your discovery of it all with a private visit to Bodegas Descalzos Viejos, just outside Ronda, on one of the slopes of the gorge. This is a family owned cellar, actually built into a church, in what once was a monastery for the Descalzos Viejos monks… With the Retamero and Salesi families as your hosts, you’ll find it’s hard to decide what is more spectacular: the hospitality, the views, or the wines you’ll be tasting!

From here, head back to Ronda for lunch at one of Andalusia’s most famed restaurants. Tragabuches is known for its creative rendition of regional Andalusian specialties, once again combining the best of past and present. Enjoy the very special, mouth-watering menu, pairing fine local products with select wines; it’s specially designed by us for the occasion, according to your taste.

Once you’ve had opportunity to discover the food, it’s time for a stroll around town. You can start a few steps from the restaurant, with a visit to the famous 18th century bullring. Then maybe do some quick shopping; don’t miss the delicious local pastries and the beautiful ceramics. From there you can walk to the Puente Nuevo (New Bridge) and enjoy the breathtaking views on either side. You’ll be making your way into the old town from here, a maze of winding streets with majestic palaces and charming whitewashed Andalusian homes.

You mark the route and the pace, to let it all sink in your own time. When you’re ready, your driver will take you back home…

Good memories are guaranteed!
