Created in 1999 by a group of Spanish professionals sharing a passion for the cuisine and culture of our country, A Taste of Spain was the first boutique agency specialized in the organization of innovative and exclusively designed culinary tours and services in Spain.
As native Spaniards with long professional experience in the Spanish gourmet sector and its internationalization, our team combines a deep knowledge of the Spanish culinary scene, a wide network of contacts reaching every corner of the country and an excellent understanding of the needs and preferences of our international clients.
We keep all of these assets up to date thanks to our own consulting division, Food Consulting, S.C., which combines our international marketing background and expertise in Spanish gastronomy and gourmet products, to provide specialized consultancy and event planning services for businesses and institutions. What’s more, we are conveniently based in Catalonia and Andalusia, two of the main focal points of the Spanish culinary scene.
As a result, we offer the most comprehensive selection of culinary programs and activities, ranging from an exceptionally ample choice of cooking classes, food & wine seminars, and tastings, to any type of gastronomic tour or event, covering all topics and regions in Spain.

Marta Angulo, one of the three founding members, began her professional voyage more than 25 years ago, working in international food trade. From there she moved on to an important position in the international promotion of Spanish gastronomy and gourmet products at ICEX, the Spanish Institute of Foreign Trade. After extensive experience designing and implementing export strategies for food companies and producers, as well as creating and organizing promotional and advertising campaigns and PR activities, Marta became an independent worker in 2000, founding the groundbreaking project, A Taste of Spain. She currently combines this activity with specialized consulting for the Spanish Food Sector, in the fields of Foreign Trade and International Marketing through the sister company Food Consulting, http://www.foodconsultingspain.com/
Anne Marie Aznarez, another founding member, started working in the Spanish food sector in 1976. For almost fifteen years, she was responsible for International Relations at Alimentaria, one of the world’s most important food shows. Later she headed the Export Department of a major Spanish food federation, developing promotional activities and organizing pavilions for international shows around the world. Since 2000, she is fully dedicated to A Taste of Spain, and especially involved in projects related with Catalonia.
Fátima Silóniz, the third founding member, started her international career in Sydney and New York, where she graduated in Marketing and worked in market research and trade marketing. Back in Spain, Fátima worked for twelve years in the international promotion of Spanish food products and the organization of public relations campaigns and culinary events for the Spanish Institute of Foreign Trade. Since 2006, she combines her dedication to A Taste of Spain with food consulting projects of various kinds.
Miguel Ullibarri, the latest member to join our team. He is a Food Marketing specialist and a reference in the world of Ibérico Ham. As General Manager of the Real Ibérico Consortium for seven years, he was responsible for positioning Ibérico Ham in the international gourmet arena, in close contact with the leading producers, as well as specialized media and distribution. Born in Bilbao, Miguel has lived in Australia and the US, and in the 90’s he occupied prominent positions in the Marketing Departments of multinational companies such as Mars and Kellogg’s.
