Exquisite Girona and Cadaqués
Two days culinary and cultural tour to Girona & Cadaqués
B: Breakfast / L: Lunch / D: Dinner
Day One - Catalan picnic in a vineyard & Cadaqués
Your private driver meets you in Barcelona. In about an hour and a half you’ll get to a family-run Mediterranean farm and winery with a lovely vineyard and olive grove.
Your English-speaking guide will join you at the farm for a stroll through the vineyard and olive grove, before visiting the winery. Taste their wines and enjoy a delicious picnic right in the vineyard, including home-made charcuterie, artisanal cheese and wine from the farm, and “pa amb tomàquet” – the delicious rustic bread with tomato rubbed over and seasoned with olive oil and salt.
Continue to Cadaqués, a charming fishing town in a magical spot where the Mediterranean meets the Pyrenees, it is here where painter Salvador Dali made his home. You’ll stay at a small charming boutique hotel with fantastic views and the perfect location.
Before dinner you’ll go for a walk with your guide, visiting the house where Dalí lived.
Tonight you’ll enjoy an excellent dinner with a modern twist at a prestigious restaurant run by chefs who worked at Ferrán Adriá´s world-acclaimed El Bulli.

Day Two - Girona, food and wine tour
After breakfast it’s time to move on to Girona. In a bit more than an hour you´ll be there to join your local guide in a wonderful food and wine tour of town; discover the lovely medieval centre in a mix of local food, local life and local stories.
Learn how traditional bread is made and bring it to the food market, where you will enjoy it with extra virgin olive oil and other Catalan specialties as you stop by different stalls, and check what´s in season.
You´ll also have the opportunity to taste different Ibérico hams with a glass of Cava, the famous sparkling Catalan wine. Then, the feast will continue at a last stop where you´ll enjoy some exquisite tapas, based in regional recipes.
All this sprinkled with small and big stories about Girona, its past and present.
Before leaving Girona you can taste a mouth-watering ice cream at Rocambolesc, a store opened by one of the three brothers running the famous Celler de Can Roca restaurant.
